Hi There, I’m Lianca.
To get the “formalities” out of the way:
I have a Masters Degree in Psychology (MAPsych) with a
specialist field in Play Therapy from the University of North West and registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a counsellor.
I have been in been in private practice since 2012, which has provided me the privilege to be a part of 100’s of children and their families’ journey towards emotional well-being and amazing stories.
My weekday mornings also consist as a school counsellor at schools in George, South Africa.
In addition to my professional work, I am also a wife and a mother of two amazing, young children.
Being a mom has given me a unique perspective on the challenges that families and children can face, and I am passionate about using play therapy to help children work through their emotions and behaviours in a healthy and positive way.
I am a firm believer in the power of positivity and I love my work as a play therapist.
I am committed to helping my clients, both young and old, lead happy and fulfilling lives.
